The Big Hour

Rainbow Trust gave us the opportunity to pitch for their annual ‘Big Hour’ charity event.
 
They said we ‘won’. We said ‘great’. They then revealed the ‘revised budget’. We said ‘oh’.
 
Of course, we were already emotionally hooked and took on the greater challenge. Focussed on the idea of using the spare hour in October to bake cakes for charity, we gave four families the unsuspected opportunity to do just that. We used the sad but uplifting story of the Ellis Family to reveal the twist of events and promote the good cause.
 
The video became Rainbow Trust’s most successful to date, increasing awareness and donations. Eventually leading to dedicated coverage on ‘Children In Need’.
